Mardi Gras Thank You's and Totals
This was our most successful Mardi Gras Benefit ever! With over 180 attendees, we raised just under $70,000 (yes, raised, that is the NET number) including $11,600 donated directly to our outreach causes. As reported in the Annual Report, the funds not directly donated to outreach, or approximately $55,000, will be divided equally between the church operating budget and the outreach causes as determined by the outreach committee. The exact results will be reported once all expenses have been submitted and auction proceeds are collected. It was a joyous event in so many ways, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for coming, inviting friends and supporting. WE MADE IT HAPPEN!
A huge thank-you to the Mardi Gras Committee for their amazing work: Cheryl Smith, Kathy Cutlip, Shirley Dugan, Lisa Dodge, Tracy Haffner, Alice Herman, Geoff Loftus, Margy Loftus, Diana Mitchell, Sonia Reese, Pam Savarese, Diana Schmitter, Nancy Stratton-Crooke, Kathy Formisano, Stephanie Treanor, Jeannette Warner, and Lisa Wolfe. Thanks, also, to our wonderful MC, Tom Wolfe!
"Sunday and Monday: The Relationship of Faith & Work” Sundays in February and March, 11:15 am - noon This month and next, our adult forum will feature fellow parishioners talking about their work and faith journeys. We’ll explore together such questions as: how does your faith inform your work? Do you find meaning in what you do? Have you ever changed careers and why? Have you ever experienced conflict between your faith and professional lives?” Come sit and listen to each other! This Sunday, Deidre Wynne and Geoff Loftus will interview each other.
Junior Youth Group Lock-in March 2-3 The Junior Youth Group kids have been awesome this year. Our theme this year comes from Ephesians 2:10 - You are God’s Masterpiece. We are going to continue our tradition of the JYG Lock in with this year's lock in taking place on March 2-3 2nd from 7:45 pm - the next morning at 8:00 am at the St. James the Less in the Parish Hall. We have a great evening planned starting off with some fun games and s'mores over the fireplace. We will then have a short devotional in which we will look in depth at the above verse and see how it can apply to middle school kids lives right now. After that once everyone gets settled in their sleeping bags we will watch a movie on the big screen. Bagels and doughnuts will be served before pick up which will be at 8:00 am Saturday morning. Frank Schwall, Amber Mizerik and Paula Pierolivo will be the chaperones for the lock in. Sign up to attend here, and to bring snacks here.
Saturday March 3 Vestry Retreat Vestry members, remember our retreat with Leslie Pendleton from Episcopal Church Foundation on March 3.
Next Acolyte Training Sunday March 4 at 11:15 am Acolytes: it’s time to brush up on our skills! Susie will lead our next training. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend.
The next Senior Youth Rectory Dinner is March 4 The kids have spoken! At the next rectory gathering we will be ordering in Chipotle and playing games to get to know each other better. Save the date.

Survey for Lenten Book Groups - it takes just 2 minutes Lent has begun, and what better way to observe Lent than by reading and discussing a good book with fellow parishioners? Please take 2 minutes to fill out this survey so we know if there is enough interest to organize these groups. We hope so! Descriptions of our book proposals for you to choose from are at the link.
