Junior Youth Group Lock-in is this Friday night! The Junior Youth Group kids have been awesome this year. Our theme this year comes from Ephesians 2:10 - You are God’s Masterpiece. We are going to continue our tradition of the JYG Lock in with this year's lock in taking place on March 2nd from 7:45 pm - the next morning at 8:00 am at the St. James the Less in the Parish Hall. We have a great evening planned starting off with some fun games and s'mores over the fireplace. We will then have a short devotional in which we will look in depth at the above verse and see how it can apply to middle school kids lives right now. After that once everyone gets settled in their sleeping bags we will watch a movie on the big screen. Bagels and doughnuts will be served before pick up which will be at 8:00 am Saturday morning. Frank Schwall, Amber Mizerik and Paula Pierolivo will be the chaperones for the lock in. Sign up to attend here, and to bring snacks here.

Acolyte Training Sunday March 4, 11:15 am - noon All current acolytes are asked to attend this important training. Serving as an acolyte is a special ministry. It is a great way to understand what happens during the service and become a part of worship and liturgy. Does your child want to become an acolyte? We'd love to have more kids! Please call Susie McNiff to learn more.
Eggs for ERD!
Don't forget to take a colored egg out of the basket as you enter the church. Take it home and fill it with coins! Bring it back next Sunday and put it in the collection plate. After Easter, we will purchase a farm animal for a family in a developing country. This project is sponsored by Episcopal Relief and Development.
Palm Sunday Lenten Youth Play High Schoolers! Come be a part of this amazing tradition. We already have a great group of kids. Come join us! Exploring Holy Communion In 1970, the General Convention resolved that once a child is born into God's family through baptism, they are welcome to receive Communion. That being said, many parents in the Episcopal Church still prefer a formal time of preparation for their children. Some parishioners come from other denominations and some simply want more explanation and education surrounding the sacrament. This spring, we will continue to offer Holy Communion classes for children in second grade. The class is both for children who are currently receiving Communion, and for those who will be receiving for the first time. This class will be offered each year in the spring. On Sunday May 6 we will celebrate all the children who have completed the class. We will meet four Wednesdays, 4/11, 4/18, 4/25 & 5/2 3:30 - 4:30 pm. Please contact Susie McNiff if you are interested.
Junior Youth Bowl-a-thon is March 18, 5-7 pm This year the Junior Youth Group will again be raising money for the Interfaith Food Bank -- by bowling! Parishioners will be able to pledge money to individual bowlers. Our goal is to raise $2500! Junior youth parents, look for a separate email with details and please share with your kids.
