A Letter from Mother Storm about our Focus Groups:
Dear Parishioners,
I'm excited to announce this. Starting next Sunday September 24, we'll begin gathering as a parish to discuss needed renovations to our buildings at St. James. The past several years have given us many opportunities to reflect on who we are as a parish, and on what matters most to us. We're now preparing to take that work a step further.
In recent weeks the vestry has engaged a consultancy firm, James D. Klote and Associates, to help us conduct a readiness assessment of the work necessary to maintain our buildings and campus. We've completed much of the preliminary planning for these potential improvements, and we're excited to present these to the congregation.
We hope that you'll attend one of our Focus Group Meetings. The purpose of these meetings is to give everyone in our congregation an opportunity to hear the proposed vision for St. James. You'll also be able to provide the vestry with your thoughts, and to help us to prioritize the projects and decide if this is the right time to move forward.
We'd like to hear from you, whether you've been coming to St. James for decades or only recently started attending.
