WALK IN LOVE!
That's our theme for the 2019 Annual Appeal, which just got started last Sunday. We have some amazing and fun selfie-videos by parishioners here (please click -- it's worth it!), and more to come. Please make your own and send it to us!!

Invitation to Services TOMORROW (Friday) at 2 Local Synagogues
Rabbi Blake and Rabbi Brown reached out to the local Christian clergy in Scarsdale this week to invite us to Friday evening services, at which they will be grieving those killed last weekend in Pittsburgh. This is a great chance to show solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters, especially if you weren't able to make the vigil last Sunday. The first is at the Westchester Reform Temple at 6:30 pm, and the other at the Scarsdale Synagogue at 8 pm. Also, here is a letter from our bishop about the horrific events, which I will also make available Sunday in church.
Anglican Evensong this Sunday at 4 pm
Don't miss this contemplative service of Choral Evensong. The service lasts just under and hour and is a great way to mark All Saints' Day, remembering those who came before us.
This Sunday November 4, 5 pm Evening Eucharist
Our monthly evening service takes place every first Sunday of the month. Join us for a 20-minute very casual Eucharist. Geared toward the Junior and Senior Youth kids, who meet for dinner immediately following the service, but open to everyone. Meets in the church.
Our Common Life: Graveyard Walk
Our new monthly series “Our Common Life” is a time to gather as a parish and discuss issues that we need or would like to address. This month we will walk through our graveyard together! THIS SUNDAY 11:30 am. Meet in the cloister.
Veterans’ Day Panel Discussion
Join us as several veterans in our parish discuss their experiences in the military.
The panel, consisting of men and women veterans, will span different ages and wars. Veterans and their spouses will also be recognized in church that day.
November 11, 11:15 am in the Isom Room.
Another Interfaith Opportunity:
St. James & Westchester Reform Temple Joint Field Trip November 10
Please join us next Saturday November 10, 2-4 pm for a joint trip to Pocantico Hills' Union Church to see the Marc Chagall stained glass windows. Here is the flyer for that event, which includes a talk by Father Peterson, a panel with Mother Storm & Rabbi Blake, and much more! RSVP to Dakota in the office OR call the synagogue directly at 914 231 9023. We will meet there unless you indicate you'd like to carpool.
We're scheduling a training session for ushers, and would love to have some new folks serving in this role. It's a great way to get to know people and get involved. If you're interested, contact Dakota in the office.
Please consider joining the Greeting Committee as we’ve lost several members who have moved away! This is one of our ministries that is perfect for those who can only serve during the 10 a.m. or special services, as there are no additional meeting requirements. The only requirements are arriving about 15 minutes before the 10 a.m. service and staying afterward … and giving a warm welcome to parishioners and visitors. Please contact Barbara Palmer (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are interested in joining.
Midnight Run November 17, 7:30 pm - 1 am
Join us for our monthly run into New York City to help feed and provide basic necessities to the homeless. All are welcome to join us and contribute food and supplies. To contribute, click here. The run will begin at 7:30 pm on Saturday, November 17. We will meet in the Parish Hall. Coats and warm jackets are needed. Bring your leftover Halloween candy for a special treat in our brown bagged meals.
Ask a Warden
Have a question about the church? Want to help but don't know what's needed? Ask a warden! They're here for you! You can contact Tracy McCarthy or Pam Heldman any time and they'd be happy to answer your questions.
