The Parish Choir is currently comprised of four sections leaders and a dedicated group of volunteers. They lead us in worship every Sunday and on feast days. They rehearse every Thursday throughout the year from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM. They are some of the most active volunteers in our church, contributing over four hours a week of their time. They come from all walks of life and are united through their love of music and dedication to the worship life of St. James the Less. For individuals wishing to have music in their lives in an ongoing way, the Parish Choir is a wonderful outlet. And, to sing with professional section leaders is a joy. This season, the choir sings for Choral Evensong on November 4 and February 3. For Christmas Eve, they sing Lessons and Carols at 6:00 PM and a Choral Eucharist at 10 PM, both with instruments and organ. On Saturday, May 18, the Parish Choir sings a concert with our new Klais organ, featuring Gabriel Fauré: Tantum ergo, Ave Maria, Cantique de Jean Racine & Louis Vierne: Messe solennelle. A wonderful season of music! New members are always welcome. Please be in touch with Dr. Matthew Lewis for more information on joining the Parish Choir.
