Children's Church School Resumes September 7!

Join us for Church School at 10:30 AM

Join us for Church School! Kids ages preK-4th grade begin with everyone in the main church, and after the opening prayer follow one of the clergy and high school interns to the nearby Great Hall for a lesson based on Scripture. We use the Storymakers NYC curriculum, and interactive, kid-friendly Episcopal Church School curriculum that is very popular with our families. Church School is taught and organized by our amazing team of High Schoolers, with Mother Eliza's guidance. Can't wait to see all the kids again!

Optional Healing Prayer

First Sunday of the Month during the 9 & 10:30 AM Service

Parishioners have the option on the first Sunday of each month (both services) to receive healing prayers for themselves or a loved one after receiving Holy Communion. Prayers are said by certified lay chaplains in a quiet space (our chapel) and kept always confidential. Lay chaplains are also available to take Communion to you or to a loved one if you're unable to make it to church. We're happy to visit anyone at all, even just to lend a listening ear or say a quiet prayer together. Our chaplains are here to support our parishioners in hard times, so please call on us! Send a confidential email to: laychaplains@stjamesscarsdale.org.

Last Sunday's Sermon

Find Sermons Posted Here Throughout the Fall

Sunday's sermons will continue to be posted during Mo. Storm's sabbatical. You can click the link below each week for the latest from Rev. Michelle, Mother Eliza or Father Holton.

Last Sunday, Mo. Storm's last until Advent, she preached about the rich, inclusive, countercultural "banquet" we celebrate every Sunday in Holy Communion. Whether we're aware of it or not, every week we make a bold assertion of who and what matters in our world. From the sermon:

Whatever the complex world of social hierarchies we’re stuck navigating out there, in this space when we come to this table, It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’ve been, what you’ve done or haven’t done, how old (or young) you are, the color of your skin, how you vote, what you earn, your status outside these walls--every seat is a seat of honor.
