The Ike Sturm Ensemble returns once again this year to celebrate the last hurrah before Lent! Featuring composer and director, Ike Sturm and his ensemble along with the Choir of St James will lead the 10:30 service in this uplifting service that will move your body and soul. Following the service is St James’ famous Mardi Gras coffee hour complete with King’s cake. Join us!

If you and your children will be here for Jazz Mass this Sunday, February 15th at the 10:30 service, we’d love for them to participate on the opening hymn, “This Little Light of Mine”. We will rehearse with the Ike Sturm Ensemble at 10am, so if you are interested please be there for the rehearsal. Shoot Victoria a note if your child will participate at music@stjamesscarsdale.org.

Get your Lent off to a right start with our Ash Wednesday service, which includes a short homily, the imposition of ashes, and Holy Communion. Services are at 9:30 am (30 minutes) and 7:00 pm (about 45 minutes). All welcome!

Join us for a four-week discussion of Bishop Marianne Budde's book "How to Be Brave." We'll explore our own moments of (or desire for) courage, and reflect on how our spiritual inner lives play out in the world around us. Led by the rector, the Rev. Astrid Storm.

We're about to begin a search for a new Christian Education Director and are looking for your help. Parents of kids ages 1-18 are invited to come offer feedback and share thoughts as we gather information about what we're looking for in a Christian Ed program and Director. We've scheduled 2 meetings to accommodate parents' schedules. Childcare will be provided during both. Hope you can make it!

Join us in the Great Hall at St. James as authors Christina Holbrooke and Jane Flynn share the story of an incredible friendship and correspondence that helped them through unspeakable tragedies in their lives. Ms. Holbrooke grew up in Scarsdale, and is looking forward to sharing her story in the community that raised her.

Join us as our youth performs to support Rural and Migrant Ministries. A fun night of fellowship, music, and education with the youth groups from Rural and Migrant Ministries. This program will be hosted by St. James, in partnership with Hitchcock Presbyterian Church in Scarsdale. All welcome!
