Interested in Being Received or Confirmed in the Episcopal Church?
When people start attending St. James, or even after many years, they often choose to become more formally affiliated with the Episcopal Church. Everyone who gives financially and attends semi-regularly is an official member, but there are further steps adults can take. For more infomation visit:

Last Sunday's SermonWith a New Format! Last Sunday, Mother Storm preached on the longest conversation Jesus has with anyone in the Gospels, who happens to be a woman, and a (to him) foreigner. She's sometimes called "the other Good Samaritan" for good reason. Together, they learn the transformative work that happens when two people engage in conversation. If it's the longest passage we read in church all year, it should be: this contains important lessons, especially for our world today. Also, we're trying a new format: video! You can of course just listen to the sermon, as before, or if you want you can see it on video. Bear with us as we learn more and make improvements to this new format over the coming weeks.
