Join us for Choral Evensong with the Choir of St James, conducted by Director of Music Victoria Shields, and accompanied by organist Terence J Flanagan. Music to be featured by women composers Katherine Burk Webb, Joanna Forbes L’Estrange, Alice Parker, and Undine S. Moore, and Janet Yieh. Through music, we remember and celebrate the lives of those who have joined the company of angels. The Necrology, the list of our deceased loved ones, will be read aloud during the service. Join us afterwards for a festive reception for all to gather and celebrate those who have joined the company of angels.

Free-will offering

The Red Door Explorers, our 5th and 6th graders, meets several times a year for food, fellowship, and discussion about the Episcopal tradition and St. James. Led and taught by parents. Please join us! You can simply bring your 5th or 6th grader on one of the evenings, and/or register at the button below.

Confirmation classes for 7th and 8th graders (and older) take place Sunday evenings during the school year in this two-year program, culminating in confirmation by the bishop at the end of 8th grade (or older--7th grade is the minimum age to start). Parishioners have the option on the first Sunday of each month (both services) to receive healing prayers for themselves or a loved one after receiving Holy Communion. Prayers are said by certified lay chaplains in a quiet space (our chapel) and kept always confidential. NEW: Lay chaplains are also available to take Communion to you or to a loved one if you're unable to make it to church. We're happy to visit anyone at all, even just to lend a listening ear or say a quiet prayer together. Our chaplains are here to support our parishioners in hard times, so please call on us! St. James is always bustling with vibrant ministries and dedicated efforts, and we are frequently in need of extra help! Whether you can offer an hour of time or decide to join a committee, we would be delighted to match you with the many needs of the groups we serve and support. Your support can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we assist in the community as a whole- and also right here at St. James!
