Register Your Kids for the 2026/27 Program Year
Are you a parent of kids 18 and under? You're probably already in our database, but it helps us if you can register your kids for the coming year so that we can update and/or double check the accuracy of our information. Click the button below to go to our registration form. It's private and protected, maintained within our database system. You can also do this update directly in your Breeze portal, which is even easier for us (and you). If you haven't yet used that account and/or need us to set that up, let us know in the office: operations@stjamesscarsdale.org. Updating your kids' information allows us to send targeted emails and ensure your kids are on the lists they should be on. Thank you! For more infomation visit:

Last Sunday's SermonPlus a Bonus Reflection Last Sunday, Mo. Storm preached on the parable of the sower, or the parable of the soils, depending on which perspective you take. A perfect parable for a summer Sunday! From the sermon: Time and again when Jesus puts God in the place of a farmer, or shepherd, or father or judge God seems to be very bad at his job. Giving too much away, showing excess concern for the one over the many, forgetting or ignoring the proper order of things, showing an amount of mercy that couldn’t possibly be countenanced in real life. If grace were true—and it is; I should say If we trusted grace to be true, like God—then we might operate with a little more daring and mercy as well. Perhaps this generous and indiscriminate sower is meant to be an example for us, as well as to teach us something about God. Also included in this week's sermons: a reflection by Morning Prayer Officiant Geoff Loftus on the occasion of a big milestone in our church's history: the excommunication of Henry VIII! Geoff's reflection was too good not to include on our sermons page. This might be of particular interest to those who came to us from the Roman Catholic tradition, as Geoff did. Here's an excerpt: Maybe it’s just me, but I believe that God can bring good out of bad. He can bring light and discipline and joy out of a dark, angry mess. And I believe that’s what He did with our church. Through the years, we have struggled with many issues. Just like our brothers and sisters in the Roman church. But we have also forged ahead in many areas that Catholics are still struggling with. For more infomation visit:

Summer Church SchoolCreating a Welcoming Space for Kids All Summer Long Church School is adjourned until September; however, we will have clipboards (during the outdoor service) and plenty of Scripture-themed coloring sheets available every Sunday, and kids are welcome with parents to use the table in the Great Hall during the service as needed (things will also be set out there--arts, crafts, coloring sheets and Scripture-themed games). We want our families with us all summer long, so be assured you'll always find here a welcoming environment for little ones! |
