Memorial Day at St. James the LessRemembering Our Own Who Lost Their Lives in Battle Dear Parishioners All around the country we remember on this Memorial Day the men and women who lost their lives in service to our country. At St. James the Less, this day has special meaning as we honor those who sat right in our pews. They attended Church School, received Communion, ran around in the churchyard with their friends, and did all the same things our children and then young men and women do today, but their lives were tragically cut short. One wanted to be an actor. One was an elite skiier in the 10th Mountain Division. Another was part of the division that liberated 30,000 prisoners from Dachau. Yesterday and today, with the help of the chair of our history committee, Russell Grant, I'll be posting some of their bios on our Facebook Page. Please take the time to read those over, and if you can, come by the church. The doors will be open all day for prayer and contemplation. A blessed Memorial Day to all. For more infomation visit:

Rest eternal grant to them, O Lord
and let light perpetual shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. + |
