The Rev. Michelle Howard

The Rev. Michelle lives on campus and occasionally serves on the altar with Mo. Storm and Mo. Eliza. She will be filling in for Mo. Storm during sabbatical, Sept-Nov 2025.

Rev. Michelle (as she prefers to be called) was ordained a priest in September 2023, and her hope for her ministry is that every person would know how deeply they are loved by God. She has served as a Priest Associate at St. Peter's Chelsea and St. John's Pleasantville. The Rev. Michelle’s day job is as the Chief Program Officer/Executive Vice President at the Osborne Association, which aims to transform lives, communities, and the criminal justice system. The Rev. Michelle has served as a fellow of Silliman College at Yale University where she co-taught a class on prison law and policy with her husband, Hyatt.

She received her Master of Divinity degree summa cum laude from Duke University and a Bachelors of Arts in Religious Studies with distinction from Yale University. The Rev. Michelle moved from Manhattan to Scarsdale last summer with Hyatt, their two children, Amara (4) and Hyatt Jr. (2), and their labradoodle, Kenobi. She enjoys traveling, running, and reading novels.
