“Intimate, immaculately fashioned” -The New York Times

Join us for an intimate evening of chamber music by the renowned Helicon Ensemble on Friday, November 6th at 7pm.  Presenting “Children of Orpheus: Music before 1800”,  Helicon will highlight the music of Arcangelo Corelli (1653-1713), his noteworthy students, and musical homages from composers of following generations. Corelli’s influence would come to be a defining element of the Baroque style.

Founded in 1985 by Albert Fuller , Helicon explores chamber music in an historical context. Its 2026-27 season includes performances at Caramoor, The Baryshnikov Arts Center and The Frick, in addition to St. James the Less. Helicon has been presented by Carnegie Hall and has co-produced events with Yale University and The Morgan Library, among other organizations.

Feel free to come early, at 6:30, for a pre-concert reception with champagne and hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are $55/person, free for students and children under 18. Click the button below for tickets. Advance ticket purchase recommended!
