We are pleased to announce the 2026-2007 music series! Our mission for the series has grown to include programs for all ages, with an emphasis on education, outreach, and opportunities for music-making.
Next year’s music series will include the ever-popular Jazz Mass, an “O” Antiphons Advent Procession with Lessons & Carols in December, Charis Chamber Voices in March, as well as Halloween Thrills and Chills in October.
Three other additions will be made to the series, as well. First, we are excited to bring to the series, The Helicon Ensemble, hosted through the Helicon Foundation in November. Founded by harpsichordist Albert Fuller in 1985, Helicon offers an intimate look into chamber music with a special connection with the audience, combining education and a fine performance. Helicon has been hosted by Carnegie Hall, and has co-produced events with Yale University, the Morgan Library, the Mannes School, Trinity Church Wall Street, and the innovative chamber orchestra, The Knights. Helicon has also been presented on Lincoln Center’s Mostly Mozart Festival.
Our second addition will be a program for children called “Sound Doodles” led by the 2026 GRAMMY Award winner, Nicolee Keuster, alongside two other colleagues from The Rhythm Method. This program combines composing music in an organic, contemporary style accessible to children, and includes a final performance of their composition.
Lastly, in January we will host AlleBREWya, a beer and hymns night. The program is a fun event focusing on congregational singing, exploring the Hymnal 1982, Wonder, Love, and Praise, and LEVAS hymnal supplements. And, homemade pretzels and chili will be served!
As our community continues to grow, our programming is focused on education, outreach, and opportunities for music-making across all ages.
I hope you’ll share in my enthusiasm for this upcoming series. Your continued support, financially and otherwise, would mean a great deal, as well. Click the donation button above to contribute to our series today. Be sure to scroll down to Concerts in the link!
Again, thank you for your commitment to music at St. James the Less.
