The Choir of St James is a semi-professional ensemble that includes students in high school through adult. They sing weekly at the 10:30am service with rehearsals on Thursday evenings from 7-9, September through May. The music they sing is based largely in the Anglican choral tradition, as well as music from the African-American tradition. In addition to singing Sunday morning, the choir also sings for special services such as Advent Lessons & Carols, Jazz Mass, Evensong, and combines with other choirs on concerts and services of Evensong. This past summer, members sang with the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) Choral Residency in Washington, D.C. All are welcome to join this ensemble that is strong in community and great music!
